The Graduation and Closing Ceremony for Clinical Pastoral Education/Training Summer Intensive 2012 is on Friday, May 31, 2013. It will be at 9am at West Baguio Baptist Church. The church is located at the corner of Naguilian Road and Quezon Hill Road #2 in Baguio City.

May Updates for CPE
Summer Intensive 2013 is winding down. We had 11 trainees. Graduation will be May 31st at West Baguio Baptist Church and 9am.
The next batch of CPE trainees is expected to start on June 14th. It will be led by Joyce Gray.
Another batch of CPE trainees is anticipated to start some time in July if there is a demand. It would be led by Celia Munson.

In Case You Were Wondering…
We have had a few questions recently regarding CPE (Clinical Pastoral Education) in Manila. Over a year ago, we expanded CPE out of Baguio City to Manila… particularly, Quezon City. 
This continued into 2012. However, in 2012, CPSP-PI (the Philippine branch of the College of Pastoral Supervision and Psychotherapy) was formed. With the organization of CPSP-PI chapters in October, we made a major change. Certification for training centers would not only be based on organization but on region. Rather than dealing with overseeing separately certified training centers in different parts of the country, we decided to spin off the Manila CPE centers.
We are still connected with the CPE centers in Manila, but via CPSP-PI. However, since October 2012, we are not connected organizationally.
So… we are carrying out CPE training in Baguio City and La Trinidad. For those interested in CPSP-certified CPE training in Manila or other parts of the Philippines, please check with CPSP-Philippines (www.cpspp.org)
CPE 2013 Summer Intensive Batch 2
The second batch for 2013 Summer Intensive started on April 15, led by Joyce Gray. The picture above is from one of their group sessions. Batch 1, led by Celia Munson, started on March 18.
CPE Summer Intensive
Group A of our Summer Intensive is starting their third week here in Baguio. Our Chaplain trainees are serving at Baguio General Hospital, Benguet General Hospital, Baguio City Jail, and Notre Dame de Chartres Hospital.
Group B has not started yet. They will be starting in a couple of weeks. There may still be openings… so contact us at info@bukallife.org if you have any questions.
“Summer” Updates
Two photos included here. One of them is a picture of the first batch of Summer Interns for CPE. This batch is relatively diverse with two Catholic, two Anglican, and two Evangelical ministers each. Heading the orientation is Celia Munson, CPSP-certified Supervisor-In-Training, serving with Bukal Life Care. A second batch of Summer Interns will begin in April.
The other photo also involves Celia. This one involves Basic First Aid training with Asia Vision-STM. Asia Vision-STM is a training and sending organization, based in Baguio City Philippines, for sending Filipinos (especially) into Southeast and Central Asia on short-term missions. Bukal Life Care has been partnering with AV-STM for some time now with training, materials, and evaluations. While it may seem strange that we would be leading a class on Basic First Aid, Bukal Life Care takes the term “Life Care” seriously. It is holistic– concerned with physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being. As such, it is important for the STMers to be healthy, but also to be a help to others. We were also able to provide some supplies to them to help them in this work. Their blogsite is www.avstm.wordpress.com.

CPE Summer Intensive Orientation
CPE Summer Intensive at PBTS (Baguio) starts on March 18th. Orientation will start on March 18. Starts at 9am at PBTS. All approved CPE trainees please attend. Those interested but not yet approved, please contact us at info@bukallife.org and we can help you through the application process and requirements.

Summer Session is coming. We have two CPE groups starting up in Baguio. One group will start on March 18th, 2013. A second group will start April 1st, 2013. The second group may (if available) join for some of the orientation of group one.
